Party Time
I’m basically throwing a party tonight for 100+ people, so I apologize if my blogging isn’t up to par. My kitchen is like a chemistry set, everything bubbling and boiling. That’s a lot of hungry mouths to feed! Since it’s an army party, I’m going with an old-school Hawaiian army theme. Lots of big band music, leis, and of course, delicious food. I’ll be sharing the details later, so stay tuned!
One thing that I was really concerned with was whether or not people will stay. These events are typically really dull and people only show up for 20 minutes because they have to. I’m putting a lot of time and effort into this event, so I’d like people to stick around a little longer! So here’s my brilliant plan: I got 2 nights at a really nice hotel donated, and there will be a raffle. People will get tickets for showing up in “costume”, and for participating in (and winning) various games we have planned. I hope that will keep people around! Wow, I want to go to your party! I’m sure people will hang around to appreciate all your hard work. And I love the idea of big band music, so much fun!
