Dust Storm
As of this moment, there is apparently a very large dust storm sweeping over Sydney. I have an affinity for the town, as I lived there for a short spell when I was a kid. It was great, after a while I couldn’t distinguish between an Australian and an American accent!
One of my favorite places to visit was Luna Park. It was this great, weird, old amusement park under the bridge. I remember it specifically because it was the only time in my life I’ve ever won something at a carnival. A hideous stuffed dog, if you must know.
So this picture is amazing to me, not only because it is of Luna Park, but because – look at that color! This is not edited. It actually looks like that there right now. It’s almost like an extended lunar eclipse. It gets red sometimes in Colorado if we’re having a really bad wildfire but nothing like this.
