Of all of the amazing things that I saw in India, I think that the jingle trucks were by far my favorite. All over Indian highways there are these Tata trucks that each driver fully customizes to their own liking, painting them brilliant colors, adding eyes to the back and front of the truck, dangling pompoms and tassels from every available point. They’re all totally unique, and often made even more so by their unique horns – every time I heard them they would send me into hysterics. meepMEEPmeepMEEPmeepMEEP or boopBOOP-beeeeep-boopBOOP-beep and so on, passing you at breakneck speeds and with mere inches to spare on each side.

One of the things that I like most about driving on big rural interstates is the fact that you can get some really epic views without ever having to really leave your car. Perhaps that’s something that is found more in the West than say, New England. Plus you’re able to cover a lot of ground, and see quickly whether it’s going to be a good picture or not. It’s photography for the lazy.
Sorry I’ve been a lazy blogger too. It’s such a whirlwind being back. Rockies game, up to Aspen (the leaves are just beginning to change in the high country, woohoo!) seeing friends and investigating lots of places. It’s just nice to be back where the weather is slightly cooler. I think the heat in Arizona was starting to melt my brain. I hope that you like the pictures from the last few days – just a taste of lots of good things to hopefully come.
