The Craft Begins

OK, I’m back!  Dreaming of spring break over here.  Thought this inspiration board would set the mood.  Has everyone had a nice couple of weeks?

I had the task of coming up with a nice bridal shower favor idea for the shower that I designed these invites for.  The family is well-known for their delicious raspberry jam, and I personally like favors that can be consumed easily rather than ending up in a junk drawer, so I thought, why not offer them something they can enjoy in the morning?

We decided on scones with a tiny bit of family jam to take home and enjoy with the baked goods.  A small food-safe plastic box made a great container that’s modern and chic.  Little jam jars hold the precious preserve.  I designed some labels that would go with the pink and purple theme so people knew what they were getting themselves into.

I love the way that wraparound labels look, especially on the clear box, and it shows off the polka dot pattern so well.

The back of the label is a great way to say thanks for coming!

I think that these would be fun for a bridal or a baby shower, a wedding favor, or even for a dinner party.  They were super easy to make and also very personal.
